What's it for, you say? Well, supposedly, it helps in the post processing to figure out what the color temperature or white balance supposed to be.
It folds up nicely in a tiny round blue bag. The construction is pretty good. We'll see after some use. The gray side has a target on it to make it easy for the AF to work.
Tried it on the kids today with a flash on the camera. The Auto White Balance from the camera picks out 5500K for this picture.The next one I used the pre-set white balance. This setting is previously set with the Ezybalance card.
It picked out 4200K as its color temp. Not bad actually, it's very close to the actual color. I'm going to start using this if I can't figure out the white balance on my next shoots.It also has a white surface on the other side, but I have not used it for anything yet. Good for a small reflector I think.
